ILLINOIS PRISON TALK - is a Family Support Forum and Information Center for those
interacting with the Illinois Department of Corrections. IPT members are comprised
of family/friends of inmates, prison reform activists, ex-offenders, prisoner rights
advocates, publishers, attorneys, prison ministries and many others interested in
the well-being of Illinois prisoners.
IPT is the #1 Website for Illinois prison issues. Operating 24/7, the forum is
very active with members from numerous states as well as nine countries and four
continents. International guests from more than 20 countries have visited the
website, including service personnel in Iraq.
Illinois Prison Talk hosts all issues of “Stateville Speaks” Newsletter, Illinois
and Federal inmate locators, the largest on-line photo gallery of Illinois
Prisons, and Lockdown Status Watch. There are dozens of discussion boards and
posted information and attorney members generously provide answers for
prison-related legal questions. Many IDOC documents are provided and profiles of
all Illinois prisons, including Illinois’ federal penitentiaries.
Recently marking it’s first anniversary, IPT boasts nearly 600 members.
